EuroAsia Interconnector route

The EuroAsia Interconnector will start near Hadera in Israel and take the sub-sea route to Cyprus where it will connect at the Kofinou station. From there it will head west and take a sub-sea route to Korakia point in Crete, Greece.

The EuroAsia Interconnector will be 1,208 kilometres in length (Israel-Cyprus 310 km; Cyprus-Greece 898 km;). Its lowest sub-sea point will be 3,000 metres below sea-level.

The onshore cable route in Cyprus expands from Agios Theodoros landing point up until Kofinou converter Station covering a distance of 13 km as presented in the following picture.

The onshore cable route in Crete expands from Korakia landing point up until Damasta converter Station covering a distance of 10 km as presented in the following picture.
